Black Pine Sports Six Pine Deluxe

Design: 3-season cabin family tent

Sleeps: 6+
Ease of Setup: Once you figure it out, it's a snap.
Weight: 44 lbs.

Being a family of 4, including a tall man and two small children under 3, a very large, versatile tent was a necessity during our two-week camping trip. This tent exceeded our expectations.

We did a trial run about a month before our trip to figure out how to set it up. The instructions were very basic and didn't offer us much help. Thankfully, it was not difficult to figure out. It took us about an hour to set it up the first time, and less than 20 minutes to set it up the second time while setting up camp.

The options are endless for how you want to use this tent. We had it set up with a "front porch", and a breeze-way, where we kept our luggage and had one of the side doors raised where we set up a small table and had a wash station at one end under the awning. Beyond the breeze-way, we had our sleeping quarters, which was plenty big enough for three of us to sleep, as well as a pack-n-play for the little one.

The high points of this tent are the endless options. The tent is huge and very comfortable. There is essentially a tent inside the outer structure, which keeps things cool/warm and dry. There was rain throughout one whole night and we had no wetness inside our sleeping area.

A downfall of this tent is the side awnings do not stay up easily. We had to rig it with bungee cords to get it to stay up. Another downfall is all the guylines that have to be staked. You can't really walk the perimeter of the tent because of all the ropes. My 3-year-old continuously tripped on them while she was playing, thus requiring them to be tightened every other day.

Overall, I cannot imagine camping with a family for any extended period of time without a tent like this. This tent could actually be lived in, if necessary. We were so happy with our purchase!
